ATTN First Time GCI Customers and New Traveling Teams: 

The process works best when a team manager (or parent) sets up a block of rooms for their travelling team. There is no credit card required to set up a room block. Only the individual parent will provide a credit card to secure their own room within the room block.


Hotel inventory will be released 3 weeks prior to event start date. Please secure your room blocks early to receive the best rates and selection.

Block Maximum: Your room block can have a MAXIMUM of 15 rooms to start with. Once all 15 have been secured with guest names, we can add more based upon availability.

One block per team; no club blocks please.


Memo August 3rd: Inventory in Sioux Falls is almost maxed out due to several events in town and leisure travel still booming. We encourage you to take rooms available from our site if you see something that might work for your team. If you do not see anything that will work, please feel free to email me with your needs.

Arrival Date Change Deadline: 

Request in writing via email with GCI prior to 3:00PM Central Standard Time on Tuesday August 24th.
Arrival date changes received after the deadline will not be accepted by GCI Team Travel.


Cancellation Deadline:
• Cancelling your reservation via email with GCI before 3:00PM CST on Tuesday August 24th will not result in any charges or penalties.
• Cancelling your reservation after 3:00PM Central Standard Time on Tuesday August 24th will result in a cancellation penalty up to 2 night’s room and tax charged by the hotel.

No Show Policy:

Should a guest not show up on their scheduled arrival date, the hotel reservation will be cancelled for all consecutive nights and a no show fee will be charged to the credit card on file.

Full Team Cancellations:

Teams withdrawing from a tournament could be charged a penalty for cancelling hotel reservations. Please inquire with GCI.
If team is NOT ACCEPTED into tournament:

The Team Contact Person who set up the room block must notify GCI in writing no more than 1 business day after notification to cancel hotel reservations without penalty. Proof in writing from the tournament director will be required. If teams aren't notified until 10-14 days prior to check in, or the week of the event, hotel may charge a penalty; we will need to reach out to the hotel to inquire.


Entire Event Cancellation:

If the entire tournament is cancelled due to weather or COVID-19, all reservations made with GCI will be cancelled entirely. There will be no penalties when the announcement is made at least 24 hours prior to check in. If games are cancelled after you have already checked in, the hotel's cancellation policy will continue to apply.

If an event is cancelled by the tournament directors due to COVID-19, GCI Team Travel will cancel all rooms without action needed by guests.  

COVID-19 Disclaimer:
• Any cancellations due to Covid-19 that are sent in past GCI's cancellation deadline will be at the hotel's discretion to work with individuals/teams on a case by case basis.  We cannot guarantee a hotel's flexibility in regards to charging a penalty (or not) for a cancellation made after the GCI deadline.

A Message from the Hotel:



• The maximum occupancy in our suites is as follows: Studio Suites, 4 people; One Bedroom Suites with one king bed, 4 people; One Bedroom Suite with two queens, 6 people; Two Bedroom Suites, 8 people. Any families or teams that exceed this number will be required to rent an additional suite.



• Children must be chaperoned. An adult must be present with children at all times in the suites and hallways as well as in the pool area. All children must be in their rooms by 10pm.



• Any damages to the hotel proven to be by a specific room will be charged to that room. Also any excessive deep cleaning that must be done after check out will be charged to you as an additional $100 cleaning fee.



• Homewood Suites reserves the right to ask any party to leave if they are a disruption to other guests.



• Due to the fact that our hotel is geared toward extended stay guests and extended stay service you must stay the number of nights your suite was reserved for at the time of booking to receive your quoted rate. If you choose to check out previous to your departure date you will be charged the rate appropriate for the number of nights you stayed. Entire Event Cancellation:
