Please note that starting November 16, 2023 the Hyatt Place Overland Park Convention Center has started a renovation of our guest rooms. Guest Room Bathrooms will be refreshed with new tile, plumbing, and walk in showers. Construction activities will be Monday-Saturday during the hours 8-6pm. Renovation of the 1stfloor public space will begin on approximately December 6, 2023. During this time, to minimize the impact to our guest experience, the Hotels front desk and breakfast area will be moved to the hotel’s meeting space. We look forward to welcoming our guests with the same authentic hospitality in a newly updated hotel in 2024. We thank you in advance for your support and understanding while we transition to the new Hyatt Place Overland Park Convention Center.

• Credit Card on file will be pre-authorized for one nights room and tax 72 hours prior to arrival. Reservations without a valid credit card may be subject to cancellation with notification.
• Should a guest not arrive for their reservation (a no-show) - guest will be charged one night's room and tax penalty and the remainder of the reservation will be cancelled.
• No Roll-away Beds Available. King room will adjoin with a Double room based on availability (not guaranteed/limited availability).
• A valid credit card and matching valid photo ID is required to check in. Minimum age to check in is 18.
• Adult’s name on reservation must match guest name that checks in at hotel.
• The credit card used when reserving the room is for guarantee only. A physical card must be presented at check-in.
• Please obtain a “credit card authorization form” from the hotel if you won’t have the physical credit card at check-in.
• 100% Smoke Free Hotel.
• Pet Friendly Facility - Max number of 2 dogs with a combined weight of up to 75lbs. There is a one-time, non-refundable pet fee of $75. (Check with hotel for specific information/restrictions. Policy subject to change without notice)
Note: Many local sports complexes do not allow pets on site.
• Room rate includes up to 2 Adults. Additional Adults in the room will incur a $10 per night charge, per adult.
• No more than 2 rooms can be held under the same name and credit card number.
Hotel Incidentals: At check in the hotel will charge a fee per day for incidentals. This charge will come off of your card if nothing is charged to the room and there are no damages. GCI does not recommend paying with a debit card because of incidentals. Please note that most hotels will only accept a credit card at check in. Please inquire with the hotel directly regarding what the hold may be or for additional information.

Cancellation Policy
YOUR RESERVATION AT THIS HOTEL REQUIRES A MANDATORY TWO-NIGHT MINIMUM STAY.
Please understand that no exceptions can be made to the required two-night minimum - including game schedule.
• Full Cancellations: Request in writing via email with GCI prior to 3:00PM CST on Thursday March 28th to avoid penalties.
Cancelling a full reservation after the 3:00PM CST deadline will result in a cancellation penalty equal to 2 night’s room and tax.

Once 20% of your team's block has been cancelled, each individual thereafter will be charged 1 night's room rate and taxes to the credit card that was used to secure the hotel reservation.
• Other Changes - Name change or a change to arrival/departure when two-night minimum has been met:
Request the change in writing via email with GCI prior to 3:00PM CST on Tuesday April 02nd
To Make A Change or Cancellation:
Email us at changes@gciteamtravel.com before the deadline date with the change needed.
It is important that you DO NOT REPLY to your confirmation email – we will not receive it.
TEAM/GROUP CANCELLATION POLICY:
• Team Cancellation Attrition: Once your team rooming list has been submitted on the reservation deadline date, your team will not be able to cancel more than 20% of the total room nights booked in that team block. This includes partial and full cancellations. Once 20% of your team's block has been cancelled, each individual thereafter will be charged 1 night's room rate and taxes to the credit card that was used to secure the hotel reservation.
• Team/Group room block must be canceled 30 days prior to event to avoid each individual being charged one night's room & tax. This includes withdrawing from a tournament within 30 days of the event.
• If team is not accepted into tournament: MGR/Coach/Individual must notify GCI within 2 business days after team acceptance list is posted to cancel hotel reservations without penalty.
• Weather Policy: If the event is canceled entirely due to severe weather surrounding the venue, no cancellation penalties will occur. The official announcement must be made 24 hours prior to tournament start date.
