Expectations of Conduct
These expectations are held for all guests, regardless of how they reserved their stay with us. We do recognize our guests have historically enjoyed a more pleasant experience with us when these expectations are outlined for review.
Please keep in mind our goal is to ensure the best possible hotel experience for all guests, your group members included.
Early check-ins and late check-outs are based on availability and at the discretion of the hotel. They are not guaranteed.
During your stay with us, please respect these requests as our expectations of conduct.
Guests may be asked to sign a copy of the Expectations of Conduct upon arrival.
• Quiet hours are considered to begin at 10pm and end at 7am.During this time, please refrain from excessive noise coming from guest rooms, hallways, or the lobby area.
• Sporting equipment must be stored in a vehicle or guestroom at all times. The usage of sporting equipment inside the hotel is not permitted. The hotel is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal items. This includes vehicles.
• Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult while in all public areas.
• No outside alcoholic beverages are permitted to be consumed in our public areas after 10:00PM. Beverages purchased through The Bistro or Market within Courtyard Sioux Falls are the sole exception to this.
• No bartending of alcoholic beverages is allowed in our public areas at any times, including six-packs or more, usage of coolers, and bottles of liquor or wine.
• All guests are welcome to utilize our business center computers, but please limit time spent on these computers to be courteous to other guests who may need them.
• Buses and towed vehicles should utilize the overflow parking lot on the south side of the hotel.
• Courtyard does not allow pets.
• In the event there is any damage to or items stolen from the hotel or the need for excessive cleaning, the individual and/or group will be held liable and charged for the cost of fixing or replacing damaged property, replacing stolen items, or excessive cleaning. Charges are at the discretion of the Hotel.
• Failure to comply with these rules will result in a verbal warning given by a staff member. If any issues continue after the initial warning is given, the main contact for the group will be contacted and the individual or group may be asked to leave the property.
• If an individual or group is asked to vacate the property, refund(s) will not be issued. Any refunds given to hotel guests outside of the group, from a direct cause of actions by the group, may be held liable to the group. Thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation.
Hotel Incidentals: At check in the hotel will charge a fee per day for incidentals. This charge will come off of your card if nothing is charged to the room and there are no damages. GCI does not recommend paying with a debit card because of incidentals. Please note that most hotels will only accept a credit card at check in. Please inquire with the hotel directly regarding what the hold may be or for additional information.
Cancellation Policy
INDIVIDUAL RESERVATION CANCELLATION POLICY:
• Full Cancellations: Request in writing via email with GCI prior to 3:00PM on Thursday, August 16 to avoid penalties.
Cancelling a full reservation after the 3:00PM deadline will result in a cancellation penalty equal to 1 night’s room and tax. (Hotel will charge your card.)

• Arrival & Departure Date Changes: Request in writing via email with GCI prior to 3:00 PM on Tuesday, August 21.
Arrival date changes received after the 3:00PM deadline will not be accepted by GCI.
• Please EMAIL US at changes@gciteamtravel.com prior to the deadlines.
• It is important that you DO NOT REPLY to your confirmation email – we will not receive it.
TEAM/GROUP CANCELLATION POLICY:
• Team Cancellation Attrition: Once your team rooming list has been submitted on the reservation deadline date, team will not be able to cancel more than 20% of the total room nights booked in that team block. This includes partial and full cancellations.
• Team/Group room block must be canceled 30 days prior to event to avoid each individual being charged one night's room & tax. This includes withdrawing from a tournament within 30 days of the event.
• If team is not accepted into tournament: MGR/Coach/Individual must notify GCI within 2 business days after team acceptance list is posted to cancel hotel reservations without penalty.
• Weather Policy: If the event is canceled entirely due to severe weather surrounding the venue, no cancellation penalties will occur. The official announcement must be made 24 hours prior to tournament start date.
