EXTERIOR RENOVATIONS BEGINNING SEPTEMBER 2023! INTERIOR RENOVATIONS BEGINNING JANUARY 2024!
Please find information from the Hyatt Place Metcalf regarding these renovations:
Updated 3/4/2024: The Hyatt Place Metcalf - Overland Park began renovations to the interior of their hotel in February 2024. Renovations will be made floor by floor. The hotel will not be placing guests on floors that will be under renovation.
During this time, the on-site restaurant will be closed. All other amenities will remain open for your stay, including the complimentary hot breakfast. Due to the onsite restaurant being closed, Hyatt Place Metcalf has partnered with Door Dash, which means all guests at the hotel will receive free delivery if they order from Door Dash. There are QR codes that guests can scan at the front desk. The hotel anticipates the restaurant reopening by mid-April. Once the restaurant reopens, Door Dash delivery will no longer be an offering.
The main entrance of the building will remain closed off, and the entrance will temporarily be relocated to the back "center" entrance of the building (subject to change prior to arrival). Hotel Incidentals: At check in the hotel will charge a fee per day for incidentals. This charge will come off of your card if nothing is charged to the room and there are no damages. GCI does not recommend paying with a debit card because of incidentals. Please note that most hotels will only accept a credit card at check in. GCI Team Travel and Hotel Cancellation Policy & Procedure
**PLEASE NOTE THE IMPORTANT DATES BELOW
Arrival Date Changes:
Request in writing via email with GCI prior to 3:00PM Central Standard Time on Tuesday January 14th.
Arrival date changes received after the deadline will not be accepted by GCI Team Travel.
Reservation Cancellation Deadlines:
Cancelling your individual reservation in writing with GCI before 3:00PM CST on Friday January 03rd will not result in any charges or penalties.
(Please note that cancelling the entire block will fall under "team/group cancellation" instead of "individual cancellation".)
Cancelling a full reservation after 3:00 PM Central Standard Time on Friday January 03rd will result in a $25.00 Cancellation Fee charged by GCI Team Travel.
Cancelling a full reservation after 3:00 PM Central Standard Time on Tuesday January 14th will result in a cancellation penalty up to 1 night’s room and tax charged by the hotel or GCI Team Travel.

SUNDAY NIGHT CANCELLATIONS:
• Due to the nature of this tournament, hotel understands that some teams may be eliminated on Sunday and will no longer need to stay on Sunday night.
• In this circumstance the hotel will not charge an early departure fee. Guest must check out directly with the hotel's front desk by 11:00am on Sunday to avoid fees.
• If your Sunday game time is scheduled after 11:00am you will have to check out and check back in if you make it through to the games played on Monday.
• Please note that if you do need to check back in after having already checked out, hotel room types are subject to availability.
TEAM/GROUP CANCELLATION POLICY:
• Team/Group room block must be canceled 30 days prior to event Tuesday December 17th to avoid each individual being charged one night's room & tax. Withdrawing from an event due to any circumstance after Tuesday December 17th will incur cancellations charges of 1 night's room and tax.
• If team is not accepted into tournament:
MGR/Coach/Individual must notify GCI within 1 business day of notification to cancel hotel reservations without penalty. A date and time stamped proof in writing from the tournament director will be required.
If teams aren't notified until 7 days prior to check in, or the week of the event, hotel may possibly charge a penalty; in this special circumstance,we will need to reach out to the hotel to inquire.
• Weather Policy:
If the event is canceled entirely due to severe weather surrounding the venue, no cancellation penalties will occur. The official announcement must be made 24 hours prior to tournament start date.
If an event is canceled after you have checked in, the hotel’s cancellation policy will apply.
